IGRSUP Online Property Registration Process: UP Property Registration

All transactions that involve the sale of the immovable property should be registered in India to ensure the transfer of clean title to the owner. As per the Indian Stamp Act, the prescribed stamp duty of the documents is also charged. Stamp duty is a major source of revenue for the Uttar Pradesh government.

Department of Stamps and Registration manages the registration and transfer of property in Uttar Pradesh. In this article, we look at the procedure for Uttar Pradesh property registration with stamp duty charges.

Procedure to Apply Online IGRSUP Property Registration & Application Form 2022

Step 1- For registering property in Uttar Pradesh, Visit the Official Website of IGRSUP – Registration and Stamp department i.e. igrsup.gov.in.

Step 2- On the Homepage, Click on the Option “Apply Online” under the Property Registration.

New User Registration

Step 3- To register on the website for the first time, start a new entry or “Log in” to the account with the already created user id and password.

Step 4- Select your district, Tehsil and Registrar.

Step 5- Now give the mobile number and create a password.

Step 6- Enter the Captcha Code and click on the ‘Go Ahead’ button.

Property Registration

Step 7- After creating a login Online property registration form will be displayed on the screen.

Step 8- Select the nature of the document(Select the relevant Deed Category from different options available in the drop-down).

Step 9- Enter deed presenter name and mobile number.

Provide Property Details

Step 10- Provide the following property details for registration and stamp duty calculation.

  • Relevant tehsil of the district.
  • Area type, Rural or Urban.
  • Sub Area type of the tehsils
  • Ward from the sub-area type already selected
  • Property type from Plot / Building / Agriculture Land

Provide Property Valuation

Step 11- Now, provide all the property details for the valuation.

Step 12- Select the type of Building and then click on the Next button.

IGRS UP Property Registration facilities

The Stamp and Registration Department provides five types of facilities under Uttar Pradesh Property Registration. We are providing all these facilities in detail below.

Step 13- Select the type of property and enter the details of the independent Building by filling the residential area and total area.

Step 14- Select the applicable sub-clause, if any, related to the property under consideration.

Stamp Duty Calculation

Step 15- Based on the selection of Deed and the other details filled, the software will auto calculate the applicable Stamp Duties and Registration fees.

Note- Multiple Properties can also be added, for adding more property, select from “Add More Property” button or click on the Next button to proceed.

Upload Required Documents

Step 16- Now, upload all the mandatory documents like ID Proofs, PAN number, etc.

Step 17- After adding all the mandatory documents, the user has to proceed to add details of other parties involved in the transaction and two witnesses.

Prepare Deed Document

Step 18- Select “deed document” button to prepare the deed document and then click on the Save button.

Step 19- Enter the number of pages, and the name of the document presenter then click save button to submit finally. Save button is enabled only after preparing the deed document.

Payment Service Type

Step 20- Select payment service type E-stamp, stamp, E-payment, and make the specified payment.

Step 21- Now select the user consent and then click on the Save button to proceed.

Step 22- Enter displayed captcha and confirm that everything is correct by clicking the save button to save the process.

Approach Sub – Registrar Office (SRO)

Step 23: Finally take a print out of application and fee receipt. Then visit the sub-registrar office on any working days.

Step 24: Once the registration application is made, use the application ID for reference. Also use the same ID to book a time slot in the application, based on convenience can visit the Sub-Registrar office to complete the registration process.

Verification by SRO

Step 25: The registration process shall be completed at the Sub Registrar Office (SRO). Sub registering officer will verify the following details. Upon checking, the SRO will update details online in the online land records website.

Note:  If SRO rejects the application, Return Deed with reasons for rejection will be updated online through the portal.

Get Registered Deed

After approval and successful registration, get the property registration document. Once Again, login to the portal for downloading the registration certificate.

Verify Property Details

Applicants can check/verify the details of any land that has been registered in Uttar Pradesh using the District Name, Tehsil Name, Village Name and Khata Number or Khasra Number or Name in the official website.

Enter the registered office details, registration number, and registration year and captcha code. Then click on the see details button to verify your property/land details.

How to make an appointment for Uttar Pradesh property registration?

Step 1: Citizens of Uttar Pradesh, who have applied for property registration online, follow the steps given below to take an online property registration appointment.

Step 2: First of all, you have to visit the official website of Stamp and Registration, Uttar Pradesh (www.igrsup.gov.in/). On the homepage of the website, you have to click on the ” Property Registration Appointment ” option in the Property Registration section .

Step 3: After that, login with the help of your application number and password. After successful login to the website, select all the necessary information and get the appointment as per your convenience.

Time Limit and Fee Applicable

  • The property that has to be mandatorily registered within four months from the date of their execution, along with the needed fee.
  • The registration fee for the property documents is 1% of the value of the property, subject to a maximum of Rs 30,000.

IGRSUP Online Marriage Registration Process: UP Marriage Registration

The Uttar Pradesh Marriage Registration Rules 2017 provides for the compulsory registration of all marriages solemnized in the State. Marriages can be registered under the Uttar Pradesh Hindu Marriage Registration Rules, 1973.

On registering a marriage, the marriage registration certificate will be issued. Marriage Certificate is an important document as it is a legal proof of marriage between two individuals.

Procedure to Apply Online IGRSUP Marriage Registration & Application Form 2020

UP Government marriage registration through online is an Aadhaar based process. Both the bride and groom should possess a valid Aadhaar card to register their marriage online. The following are the guidelines for registering marriage in Uttar Pradesh:

Step 1: Visit the home page of the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRSUP).

Step 2: By clicking the option, apply under Marriage registration, the page will redirect to the next page.

Step 3: In this page, enter the Aadhaar number of the Groom. Once entered, an OTP will be sent to the groom’s registered mobile number.

After entering OTP, all details of the Groom will be sourced from the Aadhaar database (UID), including the photo.

Step 4: On the next screen, the applicant needs to enter the bride’s mobile number and further the OTP. Once OTP is entered, the bride details will be fetched from the UID database.

Step 5:  In the next page, the applicant needs to fill all the other personal details of the Groom.

Step 6: Upload photograph and all other documents of groom mentioned above and click on save.

Step 7: In the next step, the applicant needs to enter all the details of the bride and upload documents of the bride. Click on save.

Step 8: After providing all the details of the bride and groom, the applicant has to enter details of marriage such as date of marriage and place of marriage. After filling details, click on save.

Step 9: Details of witnesses to be entered and upload photographs.

Step 10: After entering all the details, the applicant can preview the details already entered.

Step 11: If all the details are correct, read the message and click on submit.

Step 12: Application number with the password will appear, note it for future reference.

Step 13: The applicant needs to pay a fee for marriage registration (refer above).

Step 14: After processing, the concerned authority will issue the Marriage Certificate.

Marriage Registration Verification

Select marriage verification option from home page of IGRSUP. The page will redirect to the new page, provide application number and marriage date.

Click on to ‘see button’ to verify the details of marriage verification.

Download Marriage Certificate

Log in to the portal again using application number and password for downloading marriage certificate. Enter the captcha image shown and click on sign in. Download the marriage certificate.

The validity of Marriage Certificate

UP Vivah Panjikaran is valid for a lifetime.

Applicable Fee

The applicable fee for registering marriage in Uttar Pradesh:

Penalty for Delayed Registration

UP Government has also fixed penalties for delay in marriage registration additional Rs.10 for delays up to a year and Rs. 50 for every additional year.

Guidelines for Registration of Property and Marriage in IGRSUP 

  • The application forms are mandatory to be filled both in Hindi and English languages.
  • Applicants have to create the passwords and save the application number and password for future reference.
  • Fill the address of the residence as the same certificate of whose exception you are making.
  • It is mandatory to upload the residence certificate, photo, identity card, age certificate, etc.
  • Make sure to provide the correct information like locality/village.
  • For the marriage certificate, the bride and groom have to submit the affidavit.
  • Thoroughly cross-check every information filled in the preview. If there is an error, go to that particular option and correct it.
  • After filling the form, choose the payment option of your convenience and pay.
  • Take a printout of the “payment acknowledgment” after payment.
