Khelo India Youth Games 2022
The first edition of this event was held on 31 January 2018 at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi and the second was held in Pune, Maharashtra from 9 January to 20 January 2019 and the third Khelo India Youth Game was held in Guwahati from 18 January to 30 January 2020. will be held in This time the Games will be organized in partnership with Indian School Games Federation of India (SGFI), Olympic Association (IOA) and Assam as the host state. The fourth edition of the event will be held in the year 2021. These games will be organized in Panchkula after next year’s Tokyo Olympics. Haryana will host the fourth season of ‘Khelo India’ Youth Games.
143 centers to be opened under Khelo India Youth Game
The Sports Ministry, Government of India has decided to open 143 centers of Khelo India Youth Games . This decision has been taken to hone the talents of the players. 14.30 crore will be spent by the government to open these centers. All these centers will be opened in Maharashtra, Mizoram, Goa, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur. Any type of sports facility will be available at these centres. Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju’s statement has also come in this regard. He has said in his statement that the target has been set to include India in the top 10 countries in the year 2028 Olympics. Apart from this, he also said that in order to achieve this goal, efforts will be made to identify the players from their young age and their talent will be nurtured.
Target to open about 1000 Khelo India Centers
Good trainers and equipment will be provided by the government at all Khelo India centers. The target of setting up 1000 Khelo India Centers in 4 years was set by the Sports Ministry in June 2020. So that at least one center can be opened in each district. So far about 217 centers have been opened under this scheme. Apart from this, it has been decided by the government to open 2 centers in all districts of Northeast, Jammu and Kashmir, Andaman and Nicobar Deep Group and Ladakh.
Khelo India Youth Game 2022
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju on Saturday announced that Haryana will host the fourth season of ‘Khelo India’ Youth Games to be held in 2021. These games will be organized in Panchkula after the Tokyo Olympics next year. The Union Sports Minister says that every year the Youth Games were organized in January but this time it has been postponed due to Corona virus. Khattar said that Haryana as a state has always promoted sports in a big way and supported its athletes. By the time we host the games, the pandemic will be over. We will be able to host the Games on the same scale with the participation of all the states and more than 10,000 participants.

Event Khelo India Youth Game
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju informed that Khelo India Youth Game will be organized in Haryana in 2021. KIYG 2022
