How will GPDP work under Sabki Yojana Sabka Vikas?

  1. The process of creating Gram Panchayat Development Plans (GPDPs) requires each GP being scored on an array of 48 indicators.
  2. It will cover various aspects such as health and sanitation, education, agriculture, housing, roads, drinking water, electrification, poverty alleviation programmes, social welfare etc.
  3. After each GP is scored out of 100 — with 30 marks for infrastructure, 30 marks for human development, and 40 marks for economic activity — the GPs will be ranked.
  4. The data on the 48 indicators would come from Census 2011 (for physical infrastructure), Socio-Economic Caste Census 2011 (for Household-level deprivation data), and fresh survey starting September that will be carried out by local facilitators.

On 2 October 2018, the ‘People’s Plan Campaign’ was launched as ‘Sabki Yojana, Sabka Vikas’. The campaign will continue till December 31, 2018.

Objectives of Sabki Yojana Sabka Vikas Scheme 2022

It aims to draw up a development plan for each Gram Panchayat (GP) in the country and place it on a website where anyone can see the status of the government’s flagship schemes such as SBM and PM Awas Yojana, etc.

Gram Panchayat Vikas Yojana

  • This scheme has been started on a large scale keeping in mind the number of gram panchayats in the country.
  • Special efforts have been made to ensure maximum participation of weaker sections of the society like SC / ST / women etc.
  • The objective of the Gram Panchayat Development Scheme is to empower the role of selected 31 lakh panchayat representatives and 2.5 crore women of self-help groups under DAY-NRLM in effective Gram Sabha.

Various Programs under 29 Sectors

  • All programs in the Gram Panchayat office and Gram Samvad app will be made public.
  • The meetings to be held under this campaign included 29 sectors – agriculture, land reforms, minor irrigation, animal husbandry, fisheries, social forestry, small forest produce, small scale industries, khadi, village and cottage industries, rural housing, drinking water, fuel and fodder. , Roads, rural electrification, non-conventional energy, poverty alleviation programs, education, vocational education, adult and informal education, library, cultural activities, markets and fairs, health and sanitation, family welfare, women and child development, social welfare, the weak There will be presence of advance workers / supervisors related to the welfare of the classes, public distribution system and maintenance of community assets and presentation will be made by them in all fields.

Gram Samvaad App

Gram Samvaad is a citizen centric mobile app, created by Ministry of Rural Development in collaboration with NIC team of Department of Rural Development , to serve and empower the rural citizens of India, by facilitating single window access by citizens to information at Gram Panchayat level on various Rural Development programs, covering inter-alia programme objectives, scope and performance .

The App presently covers 7 programs of Ministry of Rural Development as also information on the Grants to Local Bodies recommended by the 14th Finance Commission and releases there under.
