Under Udhyog Adhaar, the Central Government has launched the Enterprise Registration Portal to make it easy to apply for the promotion of industries. Through this portal any micro, small and medium entrepreneur of the country can register his business. There is no need to upload any kind of documents, certificates, photos to register your industry online on the enterprise portal, now you can easily register on the enterprise portal through just Aadhaar number and a self-declaration form. Let us tell you that the registration on Udyam Portal is for two types of people first For New Entrepreneurs who are not Registered yet as MSME and second For those already having registration as EM-II or UAM.

Definition of MSME- MSME Definition

Enterprise registration new rules-

On 26th June 2020 the central government has announced new criteria for online registration. There will be no need to upload documents and certificates for registering an enterprise from July 1, 2020.

  • Now new enterprise registration can be done with just Aadhar number and self declaration. The government has integrated the enterprise registration process with the System of Income Tax and GST.
  • The enterprise details entered by you can be verified on the basis of PAN number or GSTIN details.
  • It has also been mentioned by the government that after July 1 the MSME will be known as Udyog. Because this word is closer to enterprise and the registration process will be known as enterprise registration.
  • All Entrepreneurs can do their registration process through online medium through official portal. The official portal will be activated before 1st July. All those enterprises who have registered under EM- Part-II or UAM will have to register again on the enterprise registration portal on or after 1st July 2020.
  •  But all those enterprises which had registered before 30th June 2020, their registration will be valid till 31st March 2021.

The Government has introduced the facility of Single Window System at the district level and at the regional level. This facility is for all those people who due to some reason are not able to register themselves. District Industries Center will work for the convenience of entrepreneurs at the district level. Similarly, the Ministry of MSME has made Champion Control Rooms across the country responsible for assisting in the registration. If you do not have Aadhaar number then you can approach Single Window System. You need to carry ID card, bank details, photo, passbook, voter ID card, passport, driving license for Aadhaar enrollment. Single Window System will help you to get the Aadhar Card and register you once the Aadhar Number is received.
